On the morning of October 31, 2024, the green campus at Hoa Lac hosted the signing ceremony for the 2024-2025 academic cooperation agreement between the British University Vietnam (BUV) and the High School of Education Sciences (HES).
At the opening of the ceremony, Vice Principal Nguyen Tien Dung expressed his gratitude for the support that BUV has provided over the years. In particular, BUV has assisted HES in numerous programs, including teacher training, guidance for parents and students on IELTS courses, soft skills development, and awarding valuable international scholarships. Every year, HES takes pride in seeing many students achieve high accomplishments and receive prestigious scholarships. Vice Principal Nguyen Tien Dung hopes that in the new academic year, 2024-2025, which is also HES’s second year at the Hoa Lac campus, the two schools will continue to expand their cooperation, especially in supporting international English instruction, pre-university courses, and developing global integration skills for students.
The partnership between HES and BUV, established in 2018, has grown stronger over the years. In his speech, Associate Professor Jason MacVaugh, BUV Dean of Higher education, expressed his admiration for the talented leadership team and dedicated teachers at HES. He especially recognized HES’s innovative admissions strategies, brand development, and high-quality training programs, and expressed his desire to see the partnership between BUV and HES continue to strengthen.
Following the opening speeches, Ms. Dang Thi Ngoc Quyen, Educational Partnership Development Manager, shared the achievements of BUV and HES’s collaboration in the 2023-2024 academic year and introduced the scholarship programs for 2024-2025. The students attending were particularly interested in the selection criteria, application procedures, and training programs Ms. Quyen presented.
An inspiring moment at the ceremony was the story of Pham An Khanh, a former HES student who won the prestigious British Ambassador’s Scholarship and is currently studying at the University of London’s International Foundation Programme IFP/ LSE. Khanh’s learning journey and activities at BUV highlighted the success of the collaboration between the BUV and HES. Khanh also expressed gratitude for the support from HES teachers and the opportunities that BUV has provided.
The ceremony concluded in a solemn atmosphere, with meaningful gifts exchanged between the two sides and a commemorative photo session, marking another milestone in the promising partnership journey between BUV and HES.
