On May 10, the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) held a meeting with the delegation of teachers and outstanding students representing Vietnam at the 2025 International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF).
At the meeting, Mr. Do Duc Que, Deputy Director of Secondary Education Department, warmly congratulated the 18 students behind 9 outstanding projects selected from among 212 entries submitted to the 2025 ISEF for high school students. He emphasized the spirit of unity and national responsibility, highlighting that the students are not just competitors but ambassadors representing Vietnam on the international stage.

ISEF is the world’s largest annual international science and engineering competition for high school students, attracting over 1,500 students from more than 70 countries and territories. It offers not only a platform for young scientific minds to connect but also a rare opportunity to meet world-renowned scientists - including Nobel laureates.

The 2025 ISEF takes place in the United States from May 10 to May 16. Vietnam’s delegation presents 9 exemplary projects from provinces and cities including Thanh Hoa, Ha Noi, Hai Phong, Quang Tri, Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City, and the University of Science – Vietnam National University, Hanoi.
Among these, HES is immensely honored and proud that a promising biochemistry project titled: “Engineering a Vibrio Natriegens Strain Capable of B-Nicotinamide Mononucleotide Biosynthesis via Metabolic Exchange” by two exceptional students - Tran Vu Thao Phuong and Pham Huy Tuan Đat from class 12A6 - was selected by the Ministry as one of Vietnam’s 9 representative projects for ISEF 2025.
