In accordance with Plan No. 452-KH/ĐU dated August 14, 2024, issued by the Standing Committee of the VNU Party Committee on organizing Party congresses at all levels toward the 7th Congress of the VNU Party Committee (2025–2030 term), the Party Committee of the University of Education solemnly held its 4th Party Congress on April 2–3, 2025.

Attending the Congress on behalf of the VNU Party Committee were:

• Comrade Nguyễn Hoàng Hải – Deputy Secretary of the VNU Party Committee
• Comrade Đoàn Văn Cường – Head of Organization Department of the VNU Party Committee
• Comrade Bùi Lê Vũ – Deputy Head of Organization Department, Chief of Administration Office of the VNU Party Committee
• Comrade Nguyễn Minh Trường – Deputy Head of Department of Publicity and Education, Deputy Chief of Administration Office of the VNU Party Committee
• Comrade Hứa Thanh Hoa – Secretary of the VNU Youth Union

Along with Secretaries, Deputy Secretaries, and representatives of affiliated and member units of VNU.

On behalf of the Party Committee of the University of Education were:

• Comrade Nguyễn Thị Hương – Party Secretary
• Comrade Nguyễn Quý Thanh – Deputy Party Secretary
• Members of the Standing Committee and the Executive Committee
• Former Secretaries and Deputy Secretaries of the Party Committee
• 168 outstanding delegates representing 8 affiliated Party cells of the University of Education.

The Congress also welcomed distinguished guests from the Department of Internal Political Security (A03), members of the University Council, and members of the Scientific and Training Council of the University of Education.

Previously, on the afternoon of April 2, 2025, the preparatory session of the Congress took place. During this session, the Presidium, Secretariat, and Credentials Committee were elected; the working agenda and regulations were approved; and the Party election regulations were disseminated to ensure that all delegates fully understood the program, rules, voting procedures, and methods of raising opinions for the official session.

In his speech, Comrade Nguyễn Hoàng Hải - Deputy Secretary of the VNU Party Committee - recognized and highly appreciated the achievements of the Party Committee of the University of Education during the 2020–2025 term, especially in leadership and implementation.

He affirmed that the University of Education holds a vital position in the educational landscape of a multidisciplinary, multi-field university. Over more than 25 years of development, the University has consistently upheld its pioneering role in contributing to the advancement of national education. The University of Education has actively and effectively implemented the Party’s and State’s policies as well as the resolutions and conclusions of the VNU Party Committee and its Standing Committee.

At the Congress, Comrade Nguyễn Quý Thanh - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, delivered the Political Report on behalf of the 3rd-term Executive Committee (2020–2025), summarizing key achievements, identifying shortcomings and their causes, sharing lessons learned, and proposing objectives and directions for the new term.

Comrade Nguyễn Thị Hương – Party Secretary – presented the Review Report of the 3rd-term Executive Committee. The report highlighted successes, openly acknowledged existing limitations, and sincerely reviewed the leadership performance during the implementation of the resolution for the 2020–2025 term. On this basis, the new Executive Committee will inherit and build upon the strengths, address weaknesses, further strengthen unity, and resolutely lead the successful implementation of the political tasks and objectives set by the 4th Congress of the Party Committee for the 2025–2030 term, taking the University to new heights.

The achievements of the 2020–2025 term were possible thanks to the strong leadership of the higher-level Party Committee, particularly the VNU Party Committee, as well as the cooperation and support from units within and outside VNU.

The University’s Party Committee demonstrated high responsibility and effective, decisive leadership. The efforts of Party cell leaders and the pioneering role of Party members contributed significantly to building a strong, united organization that leverages collective strength among faculty, staff, and students. The Party Committee prioritized democracy, discipline, and transparency in operations, while also caring for the material and spiritual well-being of the university community.

The Congress also held discussions and successfully elected the new Executive Committee of the Party Committee for the 2025–2030 term. The newly elected Executive Committee convened its first meeting and elected:

• Comrade Nguyễn Thị Hương – re-elected as Party Secretary
• Comrade Lê Thái Hưng – elected as Deputy Party Secretary
• Members of the Standing Committee and the Inspection Committee were also elected.

The Congress heard several insightful presentations from Party members, including:

• "Developing Education Sciences and Teacher Training in the New Era: The Digital Age - the Rise of the Nation"
• "Developing Programs to Become a Core Institution in the Network of Teacher Training Universities"
• "AI in Educational Research and Teacher Training: Opportunities and Challenges"
• "Implementing Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW (2024) on Breakthroughs in Science, Technology, Innovation, and National Digital Transformation in Education and Training"

All presentations demonstrated strong support for the Political Report and reflected the dedication and practical contributions of Party members toward the direction of the University in the coming term.

At the Congress, delegates also elected the official delegation to attend the 7th Congress of the VNU Party Committee for the 2025–2030 term.

Closing the Congress, Comrade Nguyễn Thị Hương – Party Secretary – extended sincere thanks to all Party members for their trust and affirmed that the new Executive Committee would unite, stay steadfast in its goals, and promote the spirit of Unity – Creativity – Pioneering to fulfill all tasks set forth in the resolution of the 4th Party Congress.

The 4th Party Congress of the Party Committee of the University of Education – VNU for the 2025–2030 term concluded successfully in an atmosphere of unity and determination. Its success laid a strong foundation for the future development of the Party Committee and the University as a whole.
