The High School of Education Sciences (HES) not only excels in academic quality but also focuses on the holistic development of students through arts and sports activities. Among them, the HKnight Basketball Club is particularly invested in and guided by the school to become one of the strongest, most professional teams with the potential to reach far in major tournaments.

HKnight is about to welcome a new member, who is expected to be the key to taking the club to new heights. That is Phung Quoc Hung (Melvin Phung), a basketball talent with an impressive track record: a gold medal at the 2016 National Phu Dong Sports Games, professional experience in VBA 2021 and 2022 with the Nha Trang Dolphins, and a contributing member of the Air Defense - Air Force team that won the National U23 Basketball Championship in 2023. With his technical playing style and excellent 3-point shooting ability, Melvin promises to bring a new dynamic to the HES basketball team.

Melvin Phung will directly train potential basketball talents at HES through the course "Training with VBA star Phung Quoc Hung", held weekly on Thursday and Friday afternoons at the HES basketball court, located in Hoa Lac campus, Thach That, Hanoi.

HES and Melvin Phung are discussing plans to provide extracurricular training for students passionate about basketball, allowing them to be professionally trained and maximize their potential through professional tournaments. This is also one of the activities aimed at promoting physical education and sports in the near future.
