If you're not familiar with the name "pickleball," it's a sport that combines tennis, badminton, and table tennis. The rules are simple, accessible, and especially fun. In many countries, pickleball is becoming a new sports "craze," and now, we have the opportunity to experience it right here at HES.
The school's Pickleball Club held its first activity on Thursday afternoon, February 20, 2025, during the weekly club activity time. The atmosphere was extremely lively with the participation of many students from various grades and teachers. Everyone was eager to hold a racket and hear the basic instructions on the rules of the game from Mr. Bui Nhat Thanh, the school's physical education teacher.
The first "pop pop" sounds as the racket hit the pickleball echoed throughout the court, creating an exciting sporting atmosphere. Although still unfamiliar, everyone tried their best to get used to the way of hitting and moving. Not just a recreational sport, pickleball also brings many benefits to physical and mental health. It helps us train agility, enhance coordination and reflexes, while creating opportunities for socializing, making friends, and building teamwork.
The establishment of the pickleball club is not just a simple extracurricular activity, but also an important step in diversifying the school's sports activities, giving students more options to improve their health and develop comprehensively.
Hopefully, the pickleball club will grow and attract the attention of many students. Wishing the club great success in the future, contributing to building a dynamic, healthy, and enthusiastic student community!
