On the afternoon of Thursday, December 26, 2024, at Hall 203, Administrative Building, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, 144 Xuan Thuy, High School of Education Sciences convened its 3rd meeting to review the year 2024 and outline plans for 2025.

The meeting was attended by Assoc. Prof., Dr. Nguyen Thi Huong – Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairwoman of the University Council of University of Education; Assoc. Prof., Dr. Tran Thanh Nam – Vice Rector of the University of Education; Assoc. Prof., Dr. Pham Duc Hiep – Principal of High School of Education Sciences, along with Council members and representatives of specialized departments.

At the meeting, Master Nguyen Trung Thanh, Secretary of the School Council, presented a report summarizing the activities of 2024. Assoc. Prof., Dr. Pham Duc Hiep, the school’s principal, detailed the development plans for 2025. The key objectives include continuing to improve infrastructure, expanding academic programs, innovating, and fostering creativity in professional activities, as well as enhancing international cooperation to provide students with more learning and experiential opportunities. Assoc. Prof., Dr. Tran Thanh Nam, Vice Rector of University of Education, commended the proactive and innovative application of advanced educational methods, the promotion of comprehensive education, and the uniqueness of experiential learning at HES through academic and talent clubs.

Concluding the meeting, Assoc. Prof., Dr. Nguyen Thi Huong – Chairwoman of the School Council – emphasized the remarkable achievements in 2024, ranging from the quality of training to the diverse extracurricular activities, amid a context of fundamental and comprehensive renovation of general education and the dynamic transformation of Vietnam National University Hanoi’s Urban Area at Hoa Lac. She also outlined the key tasks for 2025, including:

Improving the quality of education and training, attracting high-quality human resources;

Innovating the operational and management mechanisms at Hoa Lac;

Restructuring strategies and administrative systems in 2025 to align with the streamlining principles under Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW of the 12th Party Central Committee;

Implementing streamlined administrative structures as per the guidelines of Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW, directives from VNU, and instructions from the Party Committee of the University of Education, including the merging of specialized departments to ensure efficient and appropriate operations.

In addition, the council highlighted the importance of turning unity into strength to overcome challenges, achieve sustainable development, excel in quality, and reaffirm the school’s reputation as a high-quality practical school within the cultural and academic space of Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

The meeting concluded with confidence and determination, promising a breakthrough and successful year for High School of Education Sciences in 2025.
