Recent tropical storms No. 10 and No. 11 have caused severe damage across several provinces in Central and Northern Vietnam. Torrential rains, floods, and landslides have claimed many lives, destroyed or damaged hundreds of thousands of homes, and left countless families displaced and struggling to rebuild.

In a spirit of solidarity and compassion, on the morning of October 10, 2025, at Hall HT2, Hoa Lac, the Trade Union Executive Committee, in collaboration with the Youth Union of the High School for Education Sciences (HES), organized a donation drive to support people affected by the recent disasters. The campaign received enthusiastic participation from the school’s leaders, staff, teachers, union members, parents, and students.

In response to the call from the Trade Union of Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU), HES staff and union members also contributed one day’s salary each to support colleagues impacted by the storms. In the coming weeks, the school’s Trade Union and Youth Union plan to launch a charity program to assist students at Dong Hy High School (Thai Nguyen), one of the areas hit hardest, helping them return to normal study and life as soon as possible.

This meaningful political, social, and humanitarian activity embodies the spirit of solidarity, compassion, and mutual support among HES teachers, staff, students, and parents. Every contribution, no matter how small, is a warm flame of love and hope, offering encouragement and strength to those affected and reminding them that they are not alone in overcoming the aftermath of natural disasters.
