On the morning of June 21, 2023, the agreement signing ceremony for the 2023-2024 academic year between the British University Vietnam (BUV) and the High School for Education SCIENCES (HES) took place at the green campus of Hoa Lac.
The 2023-2024 academic year marks the first step of HES at the Hoa Lac campus. HES hopes to deepen cooperation in various areas, such as support in teaching international English language certifications, pre-university courses, and skills preparation for students during the period of integration. Detailed programs will be sent to students for selection, with the expectation of providing them with the values of an advanced learning environment. Particularly, the implementation of the IELTS program, integrated advanced English, and pre-university English courses for 10th-grade students in the 2023-2025 academic years, and the continued connection between BUV and HES at Hoa Lac to implement the programs.The collaboration has played a significant role in achieving a high rate of exemption from foreign language exams (with an IELTS certificate) among 12th-grade students in the past three years. Students have consistently achieved approximately 70% in this regard.
During the MOU ceremony, Principal Hoang Thu Ha delivered a speech expressing appreciation for the partnership between BUV and HES over the years, particularly in supporting HES teachers through training sessions, IELTS course counselling, enhancing practical language proficiency with international certifications, soft skills development, and especially offering scholarships that attract students to strive for academic success.
Professor and Dr. Raymond Gordon, the Principal of BUV, mentioned that BUV has been impressed by the talented leadership team and dedicated teachers of HES. HES's recruitment strategy, brand development, and program advancement have left a remarkable impact. He was deeply moved by the HES leadership team's visits to high schools to recruit talented students and was touched by his conversations with former HES students currently studying at BUV, witnessing their love for HES.
